Craig Murphy

Chief Operating Officer

Craig is a strategic and community-focused executive leader with extensive experience advancing public-sector and nonprofit initiatives through operational leadership, capital planning, and community development. He has demonstrated success leading large-scale organizational strategy, overseeing complex capital investments, strengthening operational infrastructure, and building cross-sector partnerships that drive sustainable community impact.


Prior to joining AHT, Craig was the Deputy Director of Capital, Conservation, and Strategy for the City of Columbus Parks and Recreation department. He also spent 15 years with Homeport, an affordable housing and community development nonprofit organization, serving as the Chief Strategy Officer, Senior Vice President of Operations and Program Services, Vice President of Real Estate, and Homeownership Development Director.


Craig holds a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Management and a Graduate Certificate in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. In addition, he has further honed his skills with an Executive Education Certificate from Harvard University’s Achieving Excellence Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Duke University’s Continuing Studies Program.
